A Shitty Post

Apologies in advance for the graphic nature of this post and the TMI it shares.

Dealing with my digestive tract disturbance led me to look up information on (where else?) the internet. I found the chart to the right that indicated Types 5-7 are generally considered diarrhea. I'm pretty much at Type 7 today, having been more at Type 6 the two days prior. I would say that normally my stools then towards being something like Type 4 or even Type 5. I could probably count on one hand the number of times in my life I've had Type 1 or even Type 2.
I thought I was feeling better this morning so I made it to church. However, it turned out the only reason I felt better was because I hadn't yet tried eating anything today. After church we went out for brunch as we often do on Sundays. Turns out scrambled eggs and biscuits with honey was not a good choice for me. I had to hit the restroom before we left the restaurant and barely made it home before round two. I intend to spend the rest of the day at home, sipping tea, reading the Sunday paper, napping and surfing the internet. Takin' it easy, that's the order of the day.

Ummm. . . wow. . . uh, thanks for sharing, TS.

And thanks, too, for the chart; I'll be hanging that bad boy on my bathroom wall. . .

NPO is the 1st rule of the day, darlin': that means Nothing Per Os, a 24-hr fast.
Drink plenty of liquids, not too much sugar though!
A couple of doses of Imodium won't hurt a thing either...
Get Well Soon!
luv Val

Note to self: cross "sausage" off grocery list.

Get yourself to a doctor! Maybe you've just caught a bug. There is a terrible one going around here. Sorry your butt is not behaving.

Searabbit - I suspect more a lunch that I ate out the day after Thanksgiving than the actual Thanksgiving fare. Thanks for the well wishes.

BJ - I'm so glad I can always count on you to add class and decorum to any post.
;-)

Des - Well, at least I warned you right up front that it was graphic and TMI. You chose to read it.
;-)

Val - Yes, I pretty much went that way after the Sunday afternoon explosion. Didn't eat solids (except a few saltines) until yesterday evening. I also took two Imodiums on Sunday afternoon. Now I'm just feeling very "backed up."

Serenity - Don't blame you a bit.

Steff - I've decided based on my reading that a Dr. would just tell me to let it run it's course unless (1) I get dehydrated or (2) it lasts more than two weeks. Being cheap and not wanting to spend the money on the Dr. visit I'll wait for one of those two things to happen before I go. I really doubt the dehydrated part is going to happen as I've been drinking lots of Gatorade and water and a little Seven Up.
