Better Than the Jelly of the Month Club?

We got our holiday bonuses at work today -- a whopping $15 gift card for a local supermarket. Well, we also got the obligatory letter telling us how valued we employees are and that the gift card "is a simple gesture to contribute to your enjoyment of the holidays and to say Happy Holidays to you and your family."

Heh, it's not even the gift that keeps on giving the whole year through, Clark. I can spend $15 at the supermarket in the first aisle alone.

No bonus points if you know the movie reference, but demerits to anyone who doesn't.

One year we got nothing but the card and some coupons for the store we worked for. Sheesh. I believe I'd prefer nothing.
And i get the demerits. What movie??

Gee, so generous...
And I won't give away what movie so others can guess too, but oh how I love it, esp the squirrel in the tree and the "flying" raindeer... hope that doesn't give it away...

WhOoOoOo a whole 15 dollars? Whatever will you do with it? I should not say a word, we get nothing..nadda...zero. Very hard when you come from a job that gave you the eqivilant of one weeks pay to getting not even a kiss my ass.

Oh well, I love my job, I can do what I want, come and go as I want and I have the best boss ever...just no Christmas Bonus :( So, now I shall stop bitching and be thankful.

Could be worse, the STBX is being canned just before the Christmas bonuses are handed out, if they are given out at all this year. From what I hear, a lot of the long time staff are being either let go or being given pay cuts so severe that they will want to go.

Serenity - Wow coupons from the store where you worked? That's even more pathetic than my $15 supermarket gift card.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Best Christmas movie ever. Rent it. Really.

Fuse - I knew I liked you. Must be your taste in movies.

Karin - Well, I spent it yesterday mostly for stuff for a potluck I attended at my church last night.

2am - Yes, I really should count my blessings. At least I still have a job.
